Join Lisa Kehoe as she guides through the basic fundamentals of practicing headstand onto some of the more advanced variations of it. Whether you are just beginning yoga or have been practicing for a long period of time this workshop is for all yogi's.
We will explore how to build the necessary strength to work up to this fascinating asana and also how to include it in your regular practice. We will go beyond discussing the obvious benefits of building core and shoulder strength and go deeper to discuss what practicing headstand does for our bodies and minds internally. Some of the benefits we will be discussing will be the headstands important role in relieving stress, fostering mental focus, improving digestion, stimulation of the lymphatic system, decreasing fluid build up in the legs and so much more.
This workshop includes a warm up flow, physical practice and implementation of sirsasana as well as a relaxing cool down flow to release tension in the body.
